Why Pasture-Raised, 100% Grass Fed Chevon?

It’s Good for the Animals

It’s Good for the Environment

It’s Good for the Environment

The goats are free to roam around. Their living conditions support their natural and inherent behaviours such as grazing.

They get their daily dose of sunshine, exercise and a variety of foods. They are also less stressed and less likely to get sick. They are given the best care and the best choices.

In pasture-based farming, the goats are rotationally grazed and moved to a new piece of pasture regularly and sometimes daily. This allows them to spread their manure evenly over the soil, providing a source of rich organic matter that benefits the soil.

Like other meats, goat is rich in protein. And protein helps build, develop, and repair our muscles and tissues.

Three ounces of goat meat has about 122 calories, 0.79 grams of saturated fat and 3.2 milligrams of iron. This is compared to 179 calories, three grams of saturated fat and 2.9 milligrams of iron in beef.

How We Raise our Goats

Our goats are pasture-raised, rotationally grazed and are 100% grass-fed and finished.

Jacob started taking care of goats when he was 10 years old and by the time he was 13 had purchased his own small herd. He has downsized in the last few years and now only has 2 nanny goats and raises their young.
