1/4 BEEF - DEPOSIT - NOW OPEN Delivery in April
The Quarter Beef package is our most popular package. It will keep your family of four fed for about 4- 6 months. With this package you will have your own "freezer" section right at home. This pack requires about 5 to 6 cubic feet of freezer space.
When a beef is cut into quarters, the Front Quarters contain different cuts of meat than the HInd Quarters. The Front Shoulder cuts nicely into roasts, stew meat and ground. The Front Quarter also contains lots of Rib Steaks. The Hind Quarter is where more of the Grilling Steaks are found, including the T-Bones, Tenderloin and Top Sirloin. There are still plenty of roasts, stew and ground meat as well in the Hind Quarter.
As Steaks have a greater value, the Front and HInd Quarters are priced accordingly.
With both Front and HInd you may customize your cut to your liking. Choose thick steaks or Fast Fry, Rib Eyes instead of Rib Steak, how much ground you would like, the size of your roasts etc.
Buying by the quarter means you pay based on the Dressed Weight (hanging weight before cutting up). Our beef average approximately 185-200lbs dressed weight for a quarter which will give you 125- 145lbs of meat to put in your freezer.

Our family has been enjoying the high quality meats and produce grown by the Bunnett Family Farm for almost a decade. Our entire family experienced an increase in wellbeing from choosing to eat Bunnett meats. We all love the flavour of naturally grown meats, but the most significant benefit was in our children. Our children react adversely to food additives, and when eating these grass fed and pastured meats, we quickly noticed a significant improvement in their digestion as well as a decrease in unwanted behaviours. - R&A Landry
We were very excited when we moved back to the Maritimes from Quebec that we were able to get our meat from Dave and Sandra. I love “knowing my farmer” and the care and knowledge that the Bunnett family put into raising their animals, their meat is healthier, and because it is much more nutrient dense a little goes a long way. We find your prices reasonable and the quality consistent and flavourful. - J Bartlett
I feel really good about getting my meat from Bunnett Green Meadows! I love the way they raise their animals. I believe I am getting clean meat from happy animals. I see the respect and care that Sandra and Dave put into their work and to me, they are one of the few who are doing it right. I love the fact that I can ask Sandra how to cook a piece of meat I’m not familiar with and I love getting lard to cook with! I’m thrilled to have them as my main meat supplier and will continue to support them as long as they are around. - N Khosla
Bonus! The cookbook you need to eat the Whole Animal
The Grassfed Gourmet Cookbook is one of our favourites. It has amazing recipes for grassfed beef, pastured pork and pastured chicken. Our copy is tattered and falling apart, we have gained so many family favourites from this book.
Are your meats fresh or frozen?
Our meat will come to you frozen. Unlike many frozen meats, that may have sat on the shelf and then frozen later as a last resort, all our meats are freshly frozen immediately at our local butcher.
How is the meat packaged?
The meat is vacuum packed to maintain it's freshness.
How much freezer space do I need?
A general rule of thumb is that you need 1 cubic foot of freezer space for every 20-25 lbs of meat.
